Experts and leaders from the China Analytical Instrument Association and enterprises visit Numa for work guidance!

On July 24, 2022, leaders and industry experts from the Analysis Instrument Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society visited Suzhou Newmai. On a Sunday morning, the delegation of seven people, including leaders from the Analysis Instrument Branch and industry experts, visited the newly built factory of Suzhou Newmai in Xuguan, where they conducted an on-site inspection of Newmai’s equipment research and development and production facilities.

 

The delegation from the Analysis Instrument Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society included Mr. Liu Changkuan, Executive Vice Chairman of the Analysis Instrument Branch, Mr. Wu Aihua, Secretary-General of the Analysis Instrument Branch, Mr. Li Jun, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Sunyue Hengping Scientific Instruments Co., Ltd., Mr. Lu Junfeng, General Manager of Beijing Zhongyi Hexun Scientific Instrument Technology Co., Ltd., Dr. Zhang Zhen, Doctor from Northern Vision Technology Co., Ltd., Dr. Bao Mingdi, Doctor from the Suzhou Institute of Medical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dr. He Yayi, Deputy Director of the Oncology Department at Shanghai Tongji University Pulmonary Hospital.

 

During the exchange with the society leaders and industry experts, Mr. Yang Peiqiang, Chairman of Suzhou Newmai delivered a comprehensive presentation via PowerPoint, outlining Newmai’s development history, current main products, and application fields. He also discussed Newmai’s next steps for development strategy and direction.

 

During the discussion, the entrepreneurs offered valuable suggestions for Newmai’s current status and future development. Mr. Wu Aihua, Secretary-General and Mr. Liu Changkuan, Vice Chairman of the Analysis Instrument Branch made insightful speeches and summarized their guidance, including the following points:

  1. Addressing the importance and necessity of introducing and developing low-field MRI technology in the context of national key investment areas; establishing application standards for MRI, and emphasizing the unique advantages of low-field MRI in enterprise promotions.
  2. It was mentioned that the development of scientific instruments must align with national priorities and key investment sectors. Recently, there has been increased investment in new materials.
  3. Domestic research instruments should challenge the pricing of imported instruments. We have local advantages and should compete with foreign instruments at the same price point.

After the discussions, the leadership of the Analysis Instrument Branch and industry experts conducted an on-site inspection of Suzhou Newmai’s R&D base, production workshops, and various products currently being tested on the production lines. On the same day, the delegation also visited Suzhou Tianu Testing Service Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Suzhou Newmai, located in the Software Park of the High-Tech Zone. Professor Yan Jun, General Manager of Tianu Testing and Director of Newmai’s National Postdoctoral Workstation, provided detailed reports and introductions on Tianu’s CMA Laboratory, CNAS Laboratory, Low-Temperature Freeze-Thaw Laboratory, and High-Temperature High-Pressure Energy Mineral Laboratory, which received high praise from the attending leaders and experts.
