[Application Training Notice] 2023 Session A01 Advanced Training Course on NMR Technology and Applications

Published on: 2023-05-08 11:13

Since the discovery of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) by American scientists Bloch and Purcell in 1945, NMR technology has developed at an astonishing pace, evolving into a fully-fledged scientific discipline. Magnetic resonance has become a versatile analytical tool, indispensable for studying the microscopic structure of matter, and is now a cornerstone of modern clinical diagnostics. Beyond this, NMR research in industrial and other application areas continues to be a global focal point.

The emergence of low-field NMR, multidimensional NMR, and NMR imaging has transformed our understanding across multiple disciplines. As research in low-field NMR advances, its applications have expanded widely into fields such as petroleum and energy, geotechnical and mining engineering, food and agriculture, life sciences, and polymer materials. This training course is designed to deepen understanding and enhance practical skills in low-field NMR, enabling cross-disciplinary integration.

From 13th to 16th June 2023, the 2023A01 Advanced Training Course on NMR Technology and Applications (All Domains), organised by the NMR Expert Group of the Analytical Instrument Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society, will be held in the scenic Suzhou Science and Technology City. This course will cover NMR principles, technical applications, software operations, hardware fundamentals, case studies, and hands-on exercises, equipping participants with practical NMR skills for their respective fields.
