On the morning of November 6, 2018, the International Forum on Biomedical Materials and the 10th National Symposium on Low-Field NMR Technology & Applications (Biomedical Materials Session) officially opened at the auditorium of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering (NIMTE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The event brought together more than 120 attendees, including experts, professors, and scholars from the United States, Russia, and across China.
With the theme “Biomedical Materials and Low-Field NMR in the Era of Big Health,” the forum offered an in-depth exchange between engineers, scientists, and technical specialists to share progress in biomedical materials and explore the future of human health and precision medicine — elevating the nation’s research and clinical innovation capacity.

The conference was sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and hosted by the NMR Instrument Committee of the Analytical Instrument Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society. NIMTE (CAS) served as the primary organizer, with support from Suzhou Niumag Analytical Instrument Co., Ltd. and Ningbo DETAI Research and Consulting Co., Ltd.

As a co-organizer of this forum, Niumag Analytical presented its cutting-edge technologies — including the Fast Field Cycling NMR (FFC-NMR) system and the 1.0T small animal MRI analyzer by Aspect Imaging, which Niumag exclusively distributes in China. The Niumag booth attracted strong interest, with many professors and experts stopping by for technical discussions with Niumag engineers.

Later that evening, Niumag hosted the “Niumag Night” Welcome Dinner, where Niumag engineers presented a special technical session titled “New Applications of Low-Field and Fast Field Cycling NMR in Biomedicine.”
The session focused on the company’s flagship FFC-NMR platform and the 1.0T preclinical MRI system by Aspect Imaging. The event showcased how NMR innovations are enabling deeper insights into biomedical research, from structural imaging to functional analysis — stay tuned for more exciting breakthroughs!
