Suzhou Niumag Postdoctoral Research Workstation Upgraded to National Level

Recently, with the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, the Postdoctoral Research Station at Suzhou Newmai Analytical Instruments Co., Ltd. has been elevated from a provincial-level to a National Postdoctoral Research Station. It is reported that five enterprises in the High-Tech Zone were selected in this round.

A postdoctoral research station is an organisation within enterprises, research-oriented production institutions, or special regional entities that, once approved, can recruit and train postdoctoral researchers. It serves as a bridge connecting high-tech talent with enterprises in China, offering a new model for integrating industry, academia, and research. By combining scientific research with production, these stations efficiently translate technological achievements into productive capabilities, driving corporate innovation and development.

Newmai has always placed great emphasis on technological innovation and consistently ranks at the forefront of its industry in China. In addition to pursuing independent R&D, the company prioritises collaboration with universities and research institutes to further enhance its innovation capabilities. It has established joint laboratories with numerous institutions, including China University of Petroleum (East China), China University of Mining and Technology, East China Normal University, China Petroleum Group Science & Technology Research Institute, Wuhan Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing Agricultural University, Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences, Dalian Polytechnic University, and University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, among others.

The company has now built a strong R&D and innovation team led by senior researchers and postgraduate scholars, with mid-level professionals and undergraduates serving as technical backbones. This team provides robust technical support for the company’s economic growth and sustainable development. To date, the company has secured 12 patents—seven invention patents and five utility models—along with 11 software registrations, and has received multiple national awards and certifications, earning widespread recognition from clients. Since its establishment, Newmai has undertaken 12 major scientific projects, notably the 2013 National Key Scientific Instrument Development Project and the 2014 Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Project, demonstrating its solid research capabilities.

The promotion from a provincial-level postdoctoral research station to a national-level postdoctoral research station fully recognises Newmai’s product innovation and technological capabilities.
