Suzhou Niumag Analytical Participates in the 35th National Academic Annual Conference on Mining Engineering for Chinese Universities

The National Academic Annual Conference for Mining Engineering is a key forum and platform for faculty members in the field to exchange teaching experiences and enhance the quality of talent cultivation. Over the years, it has received strong support from universities and enterprises nationwide and has successfully held 34 editions to date.

However, given the ongoing uncertainties of the pandemic and sporadic outbreaks, in consultation with the Higher Education Mining Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the 35th National Academic Annual Conference for Mining Engineering will be held on 16 July 2022 in a “hybrid online and offline” format.

Reports at this conference will be presented by 28 academic scholars and industry representatives from across the country, focusing on mining-related topics. Suzhou Niumai Analysis Instrument Co., Ltd. was also invited to participate and deliver a presentation on the advances in low-field NMR technology in the geotechnical and mining sector.

Low-field NMR technology has emerged as one of the fastest-growing techniques for identifying porous fluid behaviour in the energy and geological fields. Supported by national major scientific instrument development projects, Niumai has achieved significant breakthroughs in short-relaxation and weak-signal measurements, dramatically improving the precision of unconventional reservoir core porosity assessments. Several devices, including the NMRC20-010V and MacroMR12-150H, have been launched, effectively addressing industry challenges such as the complexity of shale oil extraction and incomplete data acquisition. Applications of these technologies are now being implemented at institutions such as Tsinghua University, China University of Petroleum, China University of Mining and Technology, and Wuhan University.
