The 6th Annual Third Meeting of the National Technical Committee for Particle Characterization, Sorting, and Sieve Standardization was held in Suzhou

The 6th National Technical Committee on Particle Characterization, Screening, and Sieving Standards held its third meeting for the 6th term from March 14-15, 2023, in the Suzhou High-tech Zone. The meeting was chaired by Wang Shigang, the committee’s chairman, who provided guiding opinions.

The meeting reviewed the committee’s annual work report and listened to the annual report from the Screening Technology Committee. Vice Chairmen Bai Qianyang, Li Zhaojun, Zhang Fugen, and Zhang Wenge read the official letters on committee member adjustments and presided over the review of ten proposals for national standard project initiation and the examination of two national standards.

 

Deputy Director of the Suzhou High-tech Zone Market Supervision Administration, Shen Jiayao, relevant officials from the Standard and Measurement Department, and Deputy Director of the Suzhou Xushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone Science and Innovation Bureau, Zhu Zhenwei were invited to attend the meeting.

Deputy Director Shen Jiayao introduced the measures taken by the Market Supervision Bureau to promote standardization and the achievements made in standardization across various sectors in the region. In 2023, the High-tech Zone Market Supervision Bureau will further leverage the role of the standardization joint meeting mechanism to build a bridge for communication between relevant functional departments, enterprises, administrative departments, and standardization practitioners. This will accelerate the formation of a standardization framework that integrates government guidance, market-driven efforts, social participation, and collaborative promotion. The goal is to strengthen awareness of standardization across society and promote the high-quality integration of standardization and regional industrial development.

 

Chairman Yang Peiqiang of Suzhou Newmai Analysis Instruments Co., Ltd. delivered a welcome speech, hoping to use this meeting as an opportunity to continue deepening the research on particle specific surface area characterization and dispersion system stability, contributing to the high-quality development of the industry.

 

Representatives from 41 national committee member units and 66 experts attended the meeting. Also present was He Yuwei, Deputy General Manager of the Scientific Instruments Department at Dachang Huajia.

 

After the meeting, the representatives visited the newly constructed factory, equipment R&D, and production base of Suzhou Newmai Analysis Instruments Co., Ltd.

 

After the visit, the representatives highly evaluated the product performance and R&D capabilities of Suzhou Newmai and provided valuable suggestions.

Professor Yan Jun, Director of the National Postdoctoral Workstation at Suzhou Newmai Analysis stated that Suzhou Newmai and its wholly-owned subsidiary Suzhou Tainuo Testing are currently conducting pre-research on standardization. Through coordination with the committee, and with the leadership and support of the committee, they are contributing to the establishment of standards as a bridge for nuclear magnetic resonance applications to reach the global stage, making significant contributions to the particle characterization industry.

 

The National Particle Characterization, Screening, and Sieving Standards Technical Committee is affiliated with the National Standardization Management Committee. Its main function is to develop standards in the areas of particle characterization, screening, and sieving. With the development of nanotechnology, new materials technology, battery manufacturing technology, and environmental protection technology, these fields are rapidly and continuously advancing. This meeting was jointly hosted by Suzhou Newmai Analysis Instruments Co., Ltd. and Dachang Huajia Scientific.
