The 7th China International Engineering Plastics Industry Innovation Conference 2022, jointly organized by DT New Materials, the Engineering Plastics Subcommittee of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and Sichuan University’s State Key Laboratory of Polymer Materials Engineering, was successfully concluded on November 10-11, 2022, in Ningbo. It is the largest and most professional event in the domestic engineering plastics field.

The conference gathered nearly 400 industry experts and professionals from research institutes, universities, plastic materials, high-performance modification, end-user applications, manufacturing, and testing equipment. Nearly 40 experts and scholars discussed in detail the specific applications of engineering plastics, the challenges they face, and future development trends, providing valuable insights for the industry’s growth.

Newmai Analysis was invited to present its low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology applications in the materials field at the conference.

The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Temperature-Variation Analyzer integrates various relaxation time tests and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology. With its sample online temperature-modulating module and the FLAT technology developed for weak short-relaxation signal acquisition, it offers a wide range of solutions. It provides non-destructive, rapid analysis of solutions, gels, solids, and particles, making it especially suitable for process monitoring, process optimization, formulation research, and aging-cure evaluations.

Attendees at the conference were captivated by the innovative applications of low-field NMR technology in materials and engaged in in-depth discussions with Newmai engineers.

Low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology is one of the most important techniques for characterizing material structure and properties. It is a critical method for studying the structural and dynamic properties of polymer materials, resins, and novel surfactants. Low-field NMR technology is widely used to study the changes in polymers in different environments. In recent years, it has become one of the fastest-developing technologies in polymer crosslinking density testing, molecular structure and crystal structure studies, and porous material pore structure analysis within materials research.
