Newma Analysis Awarded the 'Outstanding Enterprise Award' on the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the East China Normal University Science Park

On the afternoon of October 23, 2021, the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the National University Science and Technology Park of East China Normal University (ECNU) and the Fintech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum were held at the conference center on the fourth floor of the Science Park. Vice President of ECNU, Sun Zhenrong, attended the meeting. The event was joined by leaders from ECNU and various functional departments of Putuo District, former leaders and colleagues of the Science Park, as well as entrepreneurs and faculty representatives from ECNU, along with the board members and supervisors of the park’s management company.

The meeting recognized enterprises and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the park. NewMag Analysis Instruments Co., Ltd.’s subsidiary—Shanghai NewMag Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. was awarded the “Outstanding Enterprise Award” in celebration of the 20th anniversary of ECNU’s Science Park.

Welcome Speech by Sun Zhenrong, Vice President of East China Normal University

Vice President Sun Zhenrong stated that the ECNU Science Park is a university science and technology park co-built by the Putuo District People’s Government and ECNU, in line with the strategic implementation of the scientific development concept and the national strategy of promoting science and education.

University science parks are the main platforms for universities to serve local economic development. Over the past twenty years, the Science Park has made remarkable progress, fostering regional independent innovation, creating industry-university-research cooperation platforms, promoting the transformation of scientific achievements, and incubating entrepreneurial enterprises. It has become an essential platform for ECNU’s social service functions.

Finally, Sun Zhenrong expressed hopes that the Science Park, standing at the historical crossroads of China’s “Two Centenary Goals,” along with the start of ECNU’s 14th Five-Year Plan and a new round of “Double First-Class” construction, will use the 20th anniversary as a new starting point to define new development visions and embark on a new journey of progress!

Li Wenbo, Director of the Science and Technology Commission of Putuo District, congratulated the ECNU Science Park on its 20th anniversary. He pointed out that the ECNU Science Park is the first national university science and technology park in Putuo District. Reflecting on the park’s focus on the transformation of industry-academia-research achievements, incubating talent-oriented enterprises, and building connections with academic think tanks, the park has fostered an industrial cluster centered around smart education, fintech, the integration of culture and technology, next-generation information technology, and high-tech services. It has become a crucial source of innovation for regional and industrial development.

Twenty years of accumulation, twenty years of heritage—every detail reflects the dedication of the people of Huake, the sincere support from all sectors of society, and the entrepreneurial journey of park entrepreneurs who have overcome challenges.

To set examples and express respect, the meeting honored enterprises and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the park. Shanghai NewMag Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. and 20 other enterprises received the “Outstanding Enterprise Award” in recognition of their achievements during the 20 years of the park’s establishment. Huang Shengli, Director of the Putuo District Investment Promotion Office; Wang Chunming, Party Secretary of Changzheng Town; Pan Yi, Mayor of Changzheng Town; and Xu Hongjue, Director of the Employment Promotion Center of Putuo District, presented the awards to the winning enterprises.

Shanghai NewMag Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2003. In 2014, it became one of the first companies to settle in the National University Science and Technology Park of East China Normal University, jointly creating a Low-Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory with ECNU. The laboratory is equipped with several NMR instruments and supporting experimental equipment, catering to the experimental testing needs of different customers in fields such as energy geology, food agriculture, life sciences, materials, and education.

In order to further promote nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) education, the laboratory regularly organizes experiential activities for middle and primary school students on different themes, catering to the interests of various age groups. It has been recognized by ECNU as an internship base and by the Putuo District Government as an educational base.
