In 1952, the Department of Physics at East China Normal University established the Spectroscopy Teaching and Research Section, becoming one of the main bases for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) research and talent cultivation in China. It has now developed into the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance.

A nuclear magnetic resonance expert from Newmai has completed their undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies here.

Gao Yangwen, Doctor of Radio Physics from East China Normal University, currently serves as the Manager of Newmai Analysis Innovation Research Institute and Product Director.
Educational Background
• September 2002 to June 2006, Department of Chemistry, East China Normal University, Chemistry major, Bachelor of Science.
• September 2006 to June 2011, Department of Physics, East China Normal University, Radio Physics major, Doctoral degree.
Work Experience
• 2011 to 2013, Agilent Technologies (China) Ltd., NMR Product Application Engineer
• 2013 to present, Suzhou Newmai Analytical Instruments Co., Ltd., Sales Director, Innovation Research Institute Manager. Primarily engaged in the R&D and domestic sales management of low-field NMR application projects.
When discussing theory, his academic background allows him to simplify complex principles
When talking about applications, he has seven years of experience in NMR technology R&D, with deep technical knowledge and practical application insights.
In research, as the NMR product director, he constantly engages in communication with research teachers and teams, developing new scientific directions through proposal creation and feedback.
The Instrument Information Network and the Beijing Spectroscopy Society will hold the “First Magnetic Resonance Network Conference” (iConference on Magnetic Resonance, iCMR 2017) from December 5-6, 2017. The conference will rely on an established online platform, providing a learning space for NMR professionals nationwide, overcoming time and geographic constraints.

A special section on low-field NMR has been created, with Gao Bo’s technical lecture available here.
