From 22nd to 24th September 2024, Nanjing hosted the 2024 Annual Conference of the Glass Fibre Branch of the Chinese Society for Silicate Materials and the 44th Annual Meeting of the National Glass Fibre Professional Information Network under the theme “Sixty Years Together, Striving Forward Towards a New Journey.” The event focused on cutting-edge technological innovation in inorganic fibres and composites, digital transformation, intelligent manufacturing, application development, green low-carbon initiatives, and testing and evaluation. It aimed to accelerate the creation of new productive forces, advance modern industrialisation, and elevate the industry to higher-quality development. Abstract: With the rapid development of materials science, Low-Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (LF-NMR) technology has demonstrated unique and innovative applications in the quality control of glass fibre (GF), carbon fibre (CF), and their composites (CM). Its rapid, non-destructive, and highly sensitive characteristics make it a powerful tool for material characterisation, performance evaluation, and production optimisation. This presentation will showcase Niumag Analysis’ latest technologies for measuring glass fibre oil content, carbon fibre sizing, resin content in glass fibre composites, resin content in carbon fibre prepregs, resin content in carbon fibre composites, as well as automated solutions for streamlined quality control.
