Warm Congratulations on the Successful Completion of the 2020 CNAS Reassessment for Suzhou TaiNiu Testing

On July 30, 2020, Suzhou Tianyou Testing Service Co., Ltd. received the re-assessment by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). This marks the third consecutive year that Tianyou Testing’s CNAS NMR laboratory has successfully passed the on-site review since it officially began operations in 2017.

Suzhou Tianyou Testing Service Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Suzhou NewMag (New Third Board stock code 836507), founded in 2015. It is a technology service company centered on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) testing technology, providing services in testing, training, and technical consultation in geosciences and oil and gas energy. Tianyou Testing relies on the NMR testing instruments and equipment developed by Suzhou NewMag, with applications and testing spanning multiple fields such as food and agriculture, life sciences, polymer materials, and petroleum energy.

Experts from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), including Group Leader Li Jianjun and Expert Zhang Qu, conducted the on-site re-assessment of our CNAS laboratory. During the two-day review, the expert panel thoroughly reviewed approximately 500 documents, including our company’s quality manual, procedural documents, operation manuals, and related forms, based on the CNAS-CL01 “Criteria for the Accreditation of Testing and Calibration Laboratories,” the application guidelines for chemical testing, and other relevant standards. Additionally, the expert panel carried out on-site testing, observed the laboratory environment, checked the use and calibration records of testing instruments, reviewed test reports, experimental records, staff training plans, internal audits, and management review reports, and conducted interviews to assess the management and technical capabilities of our testing center. Let’s take a look at the CNAS review process:

On the morning of June 26th, during the initial meeting, staff from Suzhou Tianyou Testing warmly welcomed the CNAS review experts at the company’s headquarters in Suzhou High-Tech Zone. Mr. Yang Peiqiang, Chairman of Suzhou NewMag, expressed a warm welcome to the CNAS review experts for their guidance. Following this, Professor Yan Jun, Director of the NewMag Postdoctoral Workstation and General Manager of Suzhou Tianyou Testing, introduced Tianyou Testing to the experts and provided a detailed presentation on Tianyou Testing’s testing capabilities, service range, personnel, and equipment.

Next, the expert panel conducted the on-site review of Tianyou Testing’s laboratory according to the CNAS laboratory standards, focusing on the following aspects:

① The review experts carefully examined the NMR and related equipment in the CNAS laboratory, inspecting the safety, daily checks, instrument labeling, operation specifications, and other aspects to ensure that the laboratory instruments and equipment met the CNAS standards;

② The review experts randomly selected several testing engineers and assessed their basic NMR skills, testing techniques, and overall competence to ensure that the staff’s theoretical knowledge and practical abilities met CNAS accreditation standards;

③ The review experts requested the testing staff to conduct an actual sample test of NMR on-site, reviewing the specific steps of the testing process.

④ The review experts meticulously examined the overall documentation and system files of the laboratory and provided corrective suggestions for the issues currently faced by Suzhou Tianyou.

In the final meeting on the afternoon of June 27th, the review experts gave positive feedback on Tianyou Testing’s testing capabilities and service quality. They also provided suggestions for improvement and outlined specific recommendations. Group Leader Yang Xiaobing summarized the review, and Yan Jun, General Manager of Tianyou Testing, responded sincerely and promised to implement the experts’ valuable feedback and suggestions.

The successful completion of this CNAS laboratory re-assessment fully demonstrates the high management and technical capabilities of our laboratory. It marks a significant step forward in establishing a leading high-end NMR testing laboratory in the country.
