[Webinar Announcement] Applications of New Low-Field NMR Technologies in Livestock and Poultry Meat Research

In March 2021, the “14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People’s Republic of China and the Long-Range Objectives Through 2035” emphasised the deep implementation of the Food Safety Strategy. It advocates the promotion of the Food Safety Assurance Project, intensified joint rectification in key sectors, and strengthened monitoring, sampling, and regulatory enforcement of food and drug safety. Ensuring food safety is recognised as an integral component of a Healthy China.

As the nation reaches a well-off standard of living and overall quality of life improves, public attitudes towards food consumption have shifted from merely eating enough to seeking high-quality products. In particular, there is now a greater focus on the quality of meat products. Studying the eating quality and processing characteristics of livestock and poultry meat is essential for developing high-quality fresh meat and processed meat products.

Low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology, with its rapid, non-destructive testing and minimal sample requirements, has already seen extensive research and application in meat science. To further advance the application of low-field NMR technology in livestock and poultry meat research, Suzhou Niumai will host an online seminar on 28 June 2022 entitled “Applications of Low-Field NMR Technology in Livestock and Poultry Meat Research,” featuring presentations from leading industry experts.
